What about the spectacular Alps?<\/span> Paddle on a canoe trip to secluded caves where glow worms light the way. Get to know the landscape by bicycle or mountain bike on countless paths. Or would you rather embark on a diving trip, even if this is rather unusual for New Zealand? For experienced divers, the South Island coastline is paradise. Beautiful and not yet well known is a hike upstream between dramatic sandstone walls into a subtropical rainforest. So that it remains relatively unknown, we won’t reveal where it is either. A little tip: The Pororari River with its huge boulders and deep rock pools is the star of this trail.
